These past couple weeks in band, a main thing we have been learning is how to play minor and major relative scales. To go from a major to minor relative scale, you go to the 6th note or the La of the major scale. That note is the starting note of the minor scale, they are relative because they will have the exact same key signature!
This 9/11 preformance had to be great. Not only because it is a day we should honor and respect, but also because I needed to redeem myself from last years preformance. WE as a band needed to redeem ourselves from last years preformance! We did just that. For me, I barely made any mistakes and the flute section overall had great tone and was very on key. All of songs ran without problems and I think we put into music, what 9/11 means. My baseline smart music score was 90%. In the future I am going to have to do a more difficult smart music test because of how high the score was, I am excited to see where I stand in a more difficult test!
